	Polarised Lenses from spec2vision Polarized lenses reduce the glare created when light bounces off of some objects, such as water, highways and other similar surfaces..   These lenses are recommended for Drivers ( to cut out glare), fisherman ( to see more beneath the surface), and for sailors to glare off the high seas. 	Transition Lenses Transitions lenses adjust automatically to changing light. When you are inside or it’s night, Transitions lenses are clear. But when you’re in sunlight, you’ll see and important – and convenient – difference: Transitions lenses turn as dark as sunglasses.   Transitions lenses automatically adjust to block glare, improve contrast, and help reduce eyestrain and fatigue.   Transitions lenses help protect your eyes as sun block protects your skin. They block 100% of the sun’s harmful UVA and UVB rays.

	Thin lenses Hi-index lenses are made of a special plastic material that refracts light in a different way than regular plastic lenses. With hi-index lenses, vision can be corrected with less material, making the lens much thinner. The higher the number, the thinner the lens. Because they are thinner, hi-index lenses are also lighter, making them more comfortable to wear.   Thin lenses (1.61 Hi index) – These are 25% thinner and lighter than standard lenses.   Very thin (1.71 Super Hi index) – These are 40% thinner and lighter than standard lenses.   Super thin (1.74 Ultra high index) – These are approximately 60% thinner and lighter than standard lenses.   Spec2vision recommends its Thin range of lenses on all glasses, but especially for semi-rimless and rimless wearers, and those with higher prescriptions (who tend to have thicker lenses).

	Protect your eyes from harmful UV rays UV100 protection is applied to lenses to protect against harmful UV sunrays that can accelerate the development of cataracts and macular degeneration. You cannot see ultra-violet light, but it causes eye-strain nonetheless.

	Polycarbonate lenses Polycarbonate Lenses are much thinner and lighter in weight and are more impact-resistant than standard plastic lenses. You get UV protection free with these lenses. it is recommended for children’s lenses, sport lenses and safety lenses. It is highly recommended for use with rimless frames.

	Get a scratch resistant coating This special coating makes lenses harder to scratch when dropped or rubbed against a hard surface. The scratch resistant coating helps prevent your lenses from everyday wear and tear. At spec2vision we provide this free as we want your lenses to last longer.
